About Course

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the Linux operating system. Students will master the Linux command line (CLI), explore the internal structures of the Linux kernel—including process management, memory allocation, and file systems—and gain practical skills in server administration. The course culminates in the configuration of Apache web servers and the deployment of cross-platform web systems between Linux and Windows environments.

What Will You Learn?

  • Core OS Architecture: Understand the intermediary role of the Operating System between hardware and users.
  • Master the Command Line: Become proficient in the Linux Shell, mastering both internal and external commands for system navigation.
  • Process & Thread Management: Learn how the Linux Kernel handles multitasking, scheduling, and concurrency.
  • System Administration: Perform advanced tasks including memory management, I/O configuration, and Virtual File System (VFS) administration.
  • Server Deployment: Install and configure an Apache Web Server from scratch.
  • Cross-Platform Integration: Execute network configurations to allow seamless communication between Linux (Ubuntu) and Windows environments.
